My Boss is an A-HOLE

In short, my boss is an asshole who constantly takes credit for my work while riding my ass the entire time. On top of that, when he does actually do some work he usually blames me if things go badly. This guy has no clue about management and is definitely not qualified to run a department of any type. Maybe I’m just missing it and this is exactly what it takes to be in management…

It is very unfortunate that there are many bosses that only succeed by taking credit for other people's work. However, over time, these people are found out for what they really are. With bosses I look at it this way. I'm only a subordinate if I allow them treat me like one.

Jeez, sorry, man; best thing I ever did was retire. I got so sick and tired of people working for me claiming I was taking credit for their work, breathing down their necks and calling me nasty names. Good luck.

yep.. been there. I just kept on doing my best and finally someone came along and saw that the manager was leaning on others for his glory.. He is out of there now.. hang in there.

Trent... you said something in an earlier post that gave me the idea you're involved in putting this site together; if so, then it's a pretty good bet your boss is reading your opinion of him. Uh, oh.

Trip down memory lane here: Your vent title reminded me of a deal I did once. I was taking a class with some bad ass Sheriff's Deputies and one of them commented on how they're all Type A personalities; the mouth that roared here had to chime up and say, Would that be A as in asshole?" He didn't need to give me the glare, I already could have bit my tongue off. Oh, well.
